Who We Are
Castruriali is a family estate rooted in Castroreale, a hilltop town in north-east Sicily with a centuries-long tradition of olive cultivation. We produce extra virgin olive oil from groves that were, until recently, abandoned — overgrown and forgotten after generations of rural depopulation.
Our oils are cold-extracted on the estate within hours of harvest, preserving the full polyphenol profile and the distinct character of each cultivar — including the Castriciana Rapparina, a variety native to the Castroreale territory and found almost nowhere else on earth.
Our 2024 harvest was awarded Great Taste 2025 — one of the most rigorous blind-tasting competitions in the food industry.
The Mission
Sicily has lost thousands of hectares of ancient olive groves to abandonment. We are buying back that land, clearing it, and returning it to production — not industrially, but slowly and carefully, the way it was always done. Every bottle sold funds the next tree restored.
